Date: 04 Nov 2013
Maxwell Windlass and Anchoring Package Requested by Santorini Island Boatmen Union
Maxwell, a division of the VETUS Group of companies, recently received an order from Santorini Boatmen Union in Greece.
The order, for a VWC6000 hydraulic windlass and associated ancillary deck gear, was dispatched from Maxwell’s factory in Auckland, New Zealand, earlier this year, to tourist company Santorini Boatmen Union, which offers passengers transport for extended cruises to the island and daily trips to the island’s volcano.
The Maxwell windlass and anchoring package has now been installed onboard Passenger boat “GARBIS”, the first out of four GRP boats currently under construction in Santorini to be equipped with Maxwell Anchoring packages.
Maxwell, renowned for manufacturing high quality anchor systems for pleasure boats and superyachts, has proven that their anchoring equipment is equally at home on a wide range of commercial vessels; “GARBIS” being a prime example. Maxwell’s windlasses, capstans and accessories offer optimal anchoring solutions for boats from 6m-120m (20ft-390ft). Maxwell has become a global industry leader in the big boat market by responding to the needs of boat operators around the world and producing anchoring equipment that consistently exceeds customer expectation.
