Maxwell Despatches Superyacht Anchoring Equipment Order to Maldives
Date: 17 Jun 2013
Maxwell Marine (a division of the Vetus Group of companies) has, for many years, supplied their Superyacht windlasses and ancillary anchoring equipment to boat yards all over the world, but they didn’t expect to receive two orders, from two different boat builders, in the space of six months from the Republic of Maldives; a remote group of small islands in the Indian ocean some 750 km South West of Sri Lanka and India.
The first order, for a pair of mirror image VWC6000 AC Electric windlasses, was recently despatched from Maxwell’s factory in Auckland, New Zealand to the tourist adventure company, SubMaldives, who offer diving adventure trips on their four existing, live aboard vessels.
This Maxwell windlass and anchoring package will be installed aboard SubMaldive’s latest project, a 42 metre wooden boat, currently under construction in Malé; the capital city of the Maldives. The word "Maldives" means "The islands (dives) of Malé”.
Maxwell is now manufacturing a similar order for a 39 metre long Safari Yacht, also under construction in Malé, by Tropical Adventures Maldives. This order is due for shipment to Malé in September this year.
Maxwell has become a global industry leader by responding to the needs of boat owners around the world and producing anchoring equipment that consistently exceeds customer expectation. For further Maxwell Superyacht information visit: www.maxwellmarine.com.
